Founded in 1868 by Royal Charter, RICS sets, maintains and regulates high standards of technical competence, professionalism and ethics in the fields of land, property and construction. At the same time we provide independent advice to governments and policy makers, as well as promoting RICS members as the leading professionals in property and real estate markets. Currently RICS has members who operate in 146 countries around the world, supported by an extensive network of regional offices.
