How one of the world leaders in networking is
changing the ways people connect and communicate

Today, 99 per cent of the world remains unconnected – it's Cisco's mission to change that. By 2020 the networking specialist expects 37 billion new devices and "things" to become connected to internet, allowing for the organic and digital to communicate, for nature to speak for itself, and for transportation networks to work as one. And that's just the beginning.

The project is dubbed "the internet of everything" and it's a profound idea: bringing everything and everyone – from the houseplant in your kitchen, to the as-yet unconnected people of our planet – onto the worldwide network.

Entry for 2013 is now closed, however if you've got a smart digital solution, or an idea you believe in, visit ciscobig.co.uk or join the conversation at #CiscoBIG
